I walked across the rocky surface, bouncing down to the next one if there was some distance between them. I heard that there was a cave here and I was determined to find it, I wanted to go exploring and today seemed like the best day to do it.
Carefully I let myself fall on a rock, there was still quiet the distance to get down to the ground. A lot of plants grew along side of the rocks, there was even some water tricking down on the other side from what I could hear. It was a good thing that I wasn't very thirsty right now, or I would be dying inside because the sound would just magnify it.
After a while I was finally on the ground. My heart beating with excitement, my eyes bright and determined as I sized up the massive cave opening. It turned out I was scaling down the caves side, so it didn't take long to find the entrance. I could hear others inside, the screeching of a Zubat, the wail of a Whismer, and the burrowing of Diglets and their evolved Dugtrio selves. I was ready to go in, but I took a last look at the sunlight. I didn't know how long I would be in there, I didn't even know if there was an exit out of this place.
I grinned at the sky and then took off. My short legs skipping ahead across the uneven ground and I soon disappeared in the mouth of the cave. It turned out that I didn't have such a hard time seeing, I had a torch that was always with me. My tail made the area so bright, it was almost as if I was given the Flash move.
My stomach then growled. I looked at it and clenched it with my tiny hands. Then I looked around me. Everything seemed so disorientated because I had brought light into their darkness. It made easy pickings then. A flame thrower came from my large mouth and I aimed it at a Zubat that was above. It came flying down at me and I jumped up and clenched it in my strong jaws. It died instantly in my grasp.
I looked around for a place to sit down, there was a rock that seemed like the perfect size. I walked over to it, sat down and grabbed the dead Pokemon from my mouth and then began to have my feast. It should last me a while.

Just what was this madness?! Dark cavern here, maze-tunnel over there... But first question is first... How is it she got lost in this dark insanity of a place, no better yet, how did she get in here in the first place?!
...
Oh that was it, the ninetales finally remembered the discomforting feeling of that odd dry moist feeling in the air that was driving her absolutely insane. She had thought that maybe if she jumped into the original cave mouth that she could perhaps escape to place that had a, at the very least, a decent temperature that didn't fluctuate constantly. Well as much of a blessing as it had been this was now definitely a curse. Narrowing her eyes, the silver ninetales couldn't help but let out an exhasperated sigh of annoyance. It hadn't helped when those little zubats and golbats decided to play games with her blindness. Well, a few learned just how dangerous it was to play with an angry ninetales. One thing for sure, they wouldn't be flying for a while if at all after those encounters.
Shaking her head to rid the thoughts, Kyuuko took in a deep breath and continued on. The cold stone was unfelt by the vixen's numbed paws. She could've sworn the place was getting cooler and if it weren't for her coat (and the fact that she's a fire pokemoon) Kyuuko was sure she'd be huddled up. Though it was still chilly for the exposed flesh, like her nose for example. She could feel it, and it was definitely not a pleasant feeling. Stinging but thankfully not running, Kyuuko could only occasionally cover her nose with a tail and wait for the chill to leave her delicate skin. Delicate? Well for her... yeah, that was far too true.
As she traveled some more through the stone tunnels, listening to the ever present resident pokemon sing or growling their presense, the ninetales caught a familiar sight. Was that... LIGHT?! The entrance! Picking up the pace till she was practically sprinting, the ninetales slowed when her nose picked up not the smell of freedom but instead that of a pokemon. A familiar scent as well as the sight. Her figure was still moving toward the light as she recognized the familiar sight of a young charmander. The bright flame on the creature's tail was a welcomed sight. Playing a smile across her silvery muzzle Kyuuko came closer till she was in the light, staring straight at the little flame pokemon. Now where have I seen you before. Her lyrics sang out into the cave, coming back in very soft whispery echoes. She noticed the small meal the pokemon had devoured. Oh a pleasant sight for those mischevious little zubats!

My stomch was feeling very pleased with my meal. It had been my first Zubat in a while, and I enjoyed this meal more than some of the others that I had. Weedles and Caterpies weren't exactly my cup of lava, but they took the edge off when there was nothing else. I had already ripped the wings off and put them to the side to chew on later on. The head had rolled off by my feet, and everything else was either on my face, belly, or already being digested.
I could hear things, but I was preoccupied finishing up my Zubat, I didn't mind that my face was dirty. I decided that I could use my tongue to have a snack later one that day, much like the wings. I lowered my body, bending over to grab the head. I inspected it, and decided that a Zubat head looked the same whether it was dead or alive. Interesting.
I blew some fire on it, cooking the head to see how that would taste. After I felt that it was done, I opened my mouth to take in the head. But as I was doing so a large white figure appeared. She spoke, and then I knew who she was. I had met her before, in the dry Savannah. I liked the dryness of that place. I watched her with my blue eyes, mouth still open. Then I quickly looked at my wings, then back at her. I did it for a few moments and then shoved the head in my mouth.
I chewed for what seemed like forever, swallowed (which kind of hurt going down) then cleared my throat to speak. "I remember you from the Savannah place!" I exclaimed, my tone cheery. I looked at her and then my wings again before sliding down from my makeshift chair.
Short arms reached for the two wings and I walked over to her, offering her a wing of the bat that I had killed not long before. "Want one?" I asked, thrusting my small three fingered hand out; the wing presented to her.

Kyuuko merely watched the charmander. The look on the charmander's face made her smile widen and she could barely hold in a chuckle of laughter as the little flame pokemon hurriedly looked between her and the catch. She looked conflicted on what to do, so much so that Kyuuko couldn't help but sway her tail in amusement. Then as the charmander shoved the head of her kill into her mouth Kyuuko couldn't help but wonder just how exactly that fir in there. Her eyes widened momentarily, her maw opening to ask if she was okay as the pokemon swallowed; but that seemed unneccessary when the little pokemon exclaimed her meeting of her. Now she couldn't hold in her laughter. Laughing aloud she managed to respond, Yes, that is true. I knew I recognized you from somewhere. Its good to see you so lively! She just about giggled her sentences. Oh how she loved the excitement of others, made things feel alive.
When the flame-pokemon offered her one of the wings of her kill Kyuuko waved one tail, Oh no its fine. I've already eaten charred ones just a little earlier. Taking in a deep breath to calm herself, Kyuuko looked down at the charmander. But I have to ask, what is it that brought you down here? Its not everyday you see another fire-type in these types of places. She so very much wanted to add onto that sentence, 'This forsaken tunnel maze of mischevious little...' The thought trailing off as she decided that her original irritation had cooled enough. No need to damper this one's adventerous moods. Besides it was her pickyness that got her into this mess in the first place. Might as well learn from you mistakes and live and forget. Yes, a wonderful concept.
Bringing herself out of her mind once more the ninetales couldn't help but notice the mess on the charmander. How did she miss that? Especially all of that? Oh how horrible her attention was getting these days... Was she really that old?! No! She's still quite a youthful ninetales, practically still in the prime of her life! Yes, she was just getting too caught up with other things to notice the smaller details, that was it!

I stood there looking at the shiny Ninetales, flimsy Zubat wings still in my hands. Blu eyes expecting her to start to speak soon, but I stood patiently waiting for her acceptance or decline to my offer. Occasionally my eyes would fall on the wings, my mouth starting to salivate, but I held myself off from eating until I got her reply.
A broad smile came on my face when she said that she did remember me from the Savannah. "Oh thank you! It is nice to see you as well again!" I replied to her, my tone cheery and excited. I looked back and my wing now, letting her speak now and hearing her answer. "Charred? I was going to eat them raw. Maybe I will try both!" I exclaimed sizing up each one as if trying to decide which one I should cook and which one I shouldn't. I looked away from them again when she asked me a question.
"Oh! That is easy! I love exploring and I heard that there was a cave here. Also, I haven't had a Zubat in a while. I wanted to see where this lead to." I answered her. I took a breath and then opened my mouth to speak. "What are you doing in here? You were here longer than I have been right? What have you been doing?" I asked the older female.
When I was done and then I looked back at my wings. I looked at each one carefully, inspecting each wing. When I had decided I quickly thrust one in my mouth, my whole hand going into my mouth. I slowly pulled it out and then chewed. It tasted different. I didn't even eat the whole thing before I took it out. I would enjoy chewing on that later like jerky. After it was out I lifted up the other one and blew a flame on it then shoved it in my mouth. It was crispy and crunched in my mouth. I swallowed it happily then shoved the raw one in it and chewed.

The patience of the little flame pokemon was truly astounding. She was able to hold back devouring those wings while waiting for her to answer. What an admirable little one, far too many were hasty these days too! Thats it, Kyuuko knew she'd like this one. Mentally chuckling to herself she listened as the charmander. She'd met this one before but... What was her name again? Uh, um... She couldn't remember or the other never said her name to the ninetales and she still couldn't remember it. Heck, she almost forgot she had met this little one before. Oh... That she knew was a sign oldness... It seemed although her kind could live for at a good thousand years, she would lose most of her memory within the first five-hundred... A sad day when you realize that but whats she to do? Have an alakazam memorize everything for her? Wait... she could very well just do that! Aha! See she wasn't completely losing her mind just yet.
She was about to laugh aloud at her own marvelous idea when the charmander spoke again. The ninetales snapped her muzzle into a tightness so it wouldn't betray her. What was it, charred? Oh she was talking about Kyuuko's own previous 'cooking' experience. She watched the little flame pokemon look between her two wings, an adorable gesture of when one can't decide to do one or the other which resulted in much happiness in the end anyway. Ah, how she loved the theatrics and the irony.
Ah now she was answering the fox's question. Exploring? So this little one was an explorer? One as small as she? Well then, that was one brave charmander! It seemed so many weren't up for adventuring these days unless it was for treasure or something similar. One of the very slim few downfalls of when the humans dissapeared. But the question was, where did this cave lead to? Even she, who had been stuck down here for quite some time, didn't have the slightest clue. Now her own curiousity was peaked. What was at the end of this maze-of-a-tunnel? Actually I'm here for the same reason as you. I wanted to find the end of this place but then I got lost. It wasn't the entire truth but then her goals changed. Perhaps since we're both down here we could help eachother find the end of this cave. I know I'd be much happier with some light to clear the ways. She smiled, it was true that she couldn't really see with her own flames as they were often too strong and flickered constantly so it was hard to what was and wasn't a shadow.
"My words. My thoughts.

I chewed on my wing for a while. Savouring the taste of the raw appendage with each chew that I did. The taste of the cooked wing was still in my mouth. I didn't mind the taste one last bit. I had to stop though, I found that I was salivating a lot and I was starting to drool.
The wet appendage was held in my three fingered hand, my eyes turned to the Ninetales now as she started to speak about why she was here. She had gotten lost? I didn't really understand, but then again, I haven't see the cave yet. Maybe there was turns everywhere, different floors where I had to climb up or down to get to. I wasn't to good at climbing, but I had noticed that some places have wooden things that can help me grip going up and down. Maybe this place has them.
She suggested that we go together. I took a second to think, but that was just to make it look like I had put some thought into it. "Yes! I think that is a great idea. I am sure that my tail can light up some of the way. If anything we can use our own flame from our mouths to light the way. Maybe there is some kind of torch here if it comes to that, but that can wait." I said happily.
I began to walk forward, short legs nearly skipping as I moved. I was rather slow because I tended to trip a lot when I started to go faster, but I was moving rather fast now so I had to concentrate in order to control myself and stop me from tripping and making a fool of myself.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i440/Inaari/BG-Kyuuko.jpg,true] A small grin was on the ninetales's muzzle as she watched the charmander finish the last of her meal. It was apparently so good that the flame-pokemon had started drooling over herself. A funny sight really, that was, until this little one turned into a charizard. Now that... Not so adorable... Scary... Now that image wouldn't get out of her head. It was hard to not notice the shiver than ran across her body. Well at least she didn't have to worry about that for a while yet. Another very good reason why she should never make an enemy out of the little lizard. Payback always hurt. She should know, she does alot of that.
A less mischievious smile was lighting her features now. Her head bobbed slowly in response to the other's words. See? Isn't it a great idea. And a double breath of fire is definitely something that'll help with keeping the 'bugs' away. By bugs she meant those horrible little bats and rocks who kept messing with her earlier. Such dreadful little creatures. Especially when they trick her into falling into holes... Oh yes that did happen. They were more mischievous than baby cat-pokemon. Oh those things were definitely up there. Well she wasn't sure that having a youngster like this one was going to change much but do to her last 'warning', a doubled fire-power might just hold them away. If they knew what was good for them anyway. Then again more than half the time they never did...
She had no need to start the travel as the charmander bounced forward. It was rather easy to keep up with the other's pace but then again she had longer legs. Not to mention for for the extra mileage. Ah good times to be a quadruple. By the way, watch out for holes. She warned, wrapping her tails into a large silvery bun behind her.
"My words. My thoughts.
