It must have been fate that the tom had stumbled upon the hydreigon or rather the hydreigon had stumbled upon him, either way it was beneficial to him. The liepard was not the best battler out there and this sometimes hindered him when situations got sticky. That's why a large battle-hungry pokemon like Vartra was so wanted by the Prince. However, the pokemon's claimed skills needed to be tested which was the reason for the pair walking downtown.
In the liepard's jaws was an old sack that he'd kept underneath his bed, he'd use it to carry the jewels away since he lacked hands. No hands made things difficult when there was more than one item to carry. His maroon fur had been successfully covered with purple berry-dye (except for his pale paws and belly and purple face "mask") and his tail was lifted high as he led the dragon to the warehouse. He had hopes for the success of this heist but what would happen after? Kivuli had always thought of himself as the Prince of Thieves but he had never before had a gang. Would this be the start of such a thing? He shivered inwardly at such a good thought.
Kivuli paused in walking as they neared the warehouse. He glanced around the area at the disrepair in the downtown part of the city. When he had been with his trainer this place had been bustling with activity, now it was empty except for the occasional bird or rat pokemon and the cars --which were used as temporary homes for pokemon-- sat uselessly on the roads without the humans to drive them. The buildings and roads were starting to fall apart due to one hundred years without maintenance, it was sad in a way but life went on and pokemon were now the dominant species. Kivuli couldn't say that he was upset by that because he wasn't. It was all the more better for his business.
The tom hopped onto one of the car's so that he could be eye-level with the large dragon. The setting sun cast a red glow around his fur as he prepared to give a last briefing to Vartra. "My friend, the pokemon we shall meet lies a block away inside of a large warehouse. I'm sure he's hidden the jewels somewhere on one of the top shelves and it's gonna take a bit of searching before I find them, maybe. But have no fear though the Prince always finds what he's searching for. Also, this pokemon can be fairly quick. Will you need me to give him a dose of Thunder Wave before you begin the attack?"

He gave a cool smile before shivering in anticipation. He oh-so loved being a thief and now that he had a strong pokemon as backup he nearly felt invincible! "Have you any questions before we leave, Vartra?" He was eager to be off but he'd answer any questions that the dragon had to ask. The dragon had followed this smaller feline away from apparents to the lower part of the former human nest. At least he thought it was the 'lower' part. It certainly had that dark feeling like he was being watched even when no one was watching them. He would know when there were others watching them. He did, after all, have six eyes didn't he? But pushing those thoughts aside, the three-headed dragon couldn't help but note the bag the other was carrying. So this mienshao had so much treasure that Kivuli needed to bring something extra to carry it in? A small smile slipped across one head's face. This was going to be an interesting haul indeed. Just for that, the dragon knew he wasn't going to fall nearly so easily. Pfft, he wasn't even going to fall. No way, not with that treasure calling his name.
As they 'walked' down the what was probably once a road (Vartra was technically hovering as him walking usually caused much more ruckus), the dark dragon came to a halt as the liepard did. So they were there were they? Just like the appartments, Vartra had only been down this far into the 'deeper' when he was looking for something new or he was looking for a temporary place to stay. Not like he ever did find a place to sleep for a night but he did manage to find some colorful things. Placing himself gently down onto the ground he surveyed the area. It was much like how the rest of the former nest was. Old and decaying with left-over inventions piling the streets. Somehow it reminded him of the deserted nests of dark pokemon who would leave bones and fading fur in age-worn twigs. He didn't know if it was a sad sight or just another common occurence but he still had to wonder how these humans couldn't fend off the rebellion. They had made so many things...
Sighing inward he looked at the Prince; he still couldn't get over that nickname. The feline had hopped onto one of the strange metal boxes, beginning to brief him. So it was time was it? Almost frighteningly calm, the dragon listened. He mentioned the place where the jewels were most likely held, which meant he had no true clue. Then he went on to how quick this mienshao would be. He even offered to paralyze the creature for him, that suprised him. He didn't think the feline would be willing to help him since he was apparently the 'muscle' of the group.
Waving one head-hand the dragon made a negative gesture, There's no need. I may not look it but I'm quite quick myself. He gave the other one of those calmly confident smiles, I have just one question. Is there only one or shall I face some extra attention? He needed to know if he was to be facing what could very possibly be a suprise attack. If he was, he would need to think of an actual strategy other than the one thats currently in his head. Being a dragon meant power so that meant long-range and sometimes close range power attacks and since this pokemon was a fighting-type it would need to be at close counters usually. If this creature had a ranged fighting-type move, well it was a good thing he knew how to protect himself. He'd need to be careful not to wear himself out just in case if Prince-y there got himself into some more trouble. That would indeed be time consuming which would lead to a commotion which would lead to unneeded brawlers. Quietly he added after a moment, I'm ready to go whenever you are.

He couldn't be happier that his chosen "brawn" felt confident enough to go in without having his opponent slowed first. This was perfect though, as the liepard couldn't have the muscle being a scaredy skitty. "There is only one mienshao. Our fellow believes that he is above the use of hordes, something about being too strong to need that sort of support."
|
Kivuli gave a nonchalant shrug of his shoulders. If the mienshao wanted to be alone then it was all the better for them, gave the pair of thieves less to worry about. The liepard flashed a toothy smile before speaking, "Eager to be on with the heist, are we? Well, so am I so let us be gone." With that the liepard leaped from the top of the car and headed in the direction of the building, expecting the hydreigon to follow behind him. Upon arrival at the warehouse the liepard stopped and looked around. His emerald eyes locked onto a tree that he had used many times to spy upon the mienshao although at those times he had wistfully watched without any action --he was far too fearful of being killed by the fighting type-- but he had learned while he watched. He had learned that the mienshao guarded the gems and the the gems were moved to different locations throughout the many shelves of the warehouse, it was a mystery as to where they were now. The paranoid mienshao was bound to never run out of places to put his gems, especially since a master thief was in town. "Stay here until I give a signal with my tail for you to go in, I'm going to see if I can spot the mienshao. When I give you the signal go ahead and go into the warehouse, I'll jump through one of the windows and start searching for the gems." He whispered to the hydreigon before heading towards the tree. He swiftly climbed up the tall object before sneaking out onto a limb to peer into one of the many broken windows. The gems weren't visible but the mienshao was. The weasel-like fighting type was on one of the top shelves as he faced towards the warehouse's entrance. A shock of fear went up the liepard's back as it always did but this time he had backup. He would get the prize and the mienshao would either be chased away or dead, he cared not. Well... It was time to start this. Kivuli turned his gaze from the window to the hydreigon and he mouthed the words, "He's facing the entrance, be careful."[/s] Then he gave his tail a sharp wave, signalling the hydreigon that it was time to go in. As soon as the mienshao was successfully distracted, Kivuli himself would go in. Slowly the dragon nodded. So this fighter thought he was strong enough to protect not only himself but his treasures as well, by himself. It would be reasonable to think that if this mienshao didn't wish to share his treasure with others but creating a reputation like his would only cause others to seek that very same treasure. A fool. The, however, didn't bother the three-headed dragon. It gave the pair a much higher likely chance to swipe the items and he could only bet that the 'Prince' was thinking the exact same thing. Only a fool would create such a reputation and refuse to strongly protect it. He will learn his lesson very early. The dragon mumbled the last part of that sentence to himself.
Once the feline and finished his briefing Vartra watched the other begin to head in the direction of the warehouse. Waiting a moment so that he had enough room between him and feline. His body was far too large to just 'sneak-ily' hide and move forward. So instead the dragon melded with the shadows, making sure to keep his form low and his wings deceptively hidden in the dark so that he would hover just enough to his clumsy walking wouldn't give him away. He didn't need to let off a blow-horn alarm, that could wait till they got closer.
Closing in closer toward the feline, Vartra heard the other's words. Now this was the plan was it? A classical one of 'decoy and charge'. Somehow this felt more like something out a 'war-play' as some may call it. Or was it 'war-game'? Later he would ponder on that. Silently he went through the plan once in his mind before nodding silently. It would be better for the Prince to search for his adversary. After that the smaller creature's swiftness would allow him to escape sight and sneak in. Yes a wonderful plan, he just had to wonder how quickly it would take him to spot the target. He nodded again in approval, choosing to say nothing as his voice was not meant for whispering in.
His way was a bit longer than the other's toward the warehouse but he got there as soon enough to see the dyed liepard leap into a tree. He himself could only hide behind whatever was left of a wall. The cracked surface was definitely wearing... As softly as he could, Vartra landed. His main head looking to the feline, one toward the surrounding area, and the last merely rested in the dragon's shadow. Carefully the hydreigon watched his thief companion. Eyes narrowing to catch the syllables he mouthed. Now it was time to play the game. The target found, all Vartra had to do know was take out the fighting type. He couldn't let the thing live in case it decided to take revenge.
Taking in a deep breath the dragon's eyes opened completely before looking to the other. Barely waiting a moment the drago ncarefully positioned himself away from the window before flaring his wings and charging in. One mouth in a huge gape, letting out a Dragon Pulse. The other two heads snarling in comparison.

They thought he couldn't hear them. How mediocre. Rookie mistake. He heard them open the door, heard the one as he walked across the floor. The other one was a hoverer... Then, either a psychic type or a Hydreigon. He heard the Dragon Pulse fire, juming into the air at the last moment. The window he was looking out of shattered, spreading glass shards all over the floor and windowsill. He kicked out with his foot, using his Hi Jump Kick attack on the Hydreigion. Even it wasn't fast enough to dodge an attack from a Mienshao like himself. He had learned early that when one has gems, one trusts nobody. Seems the Prince, the bloody fool, had found an accomplice. He once knew that trusting no one but yourself is the best bet. And yet, he's gotten others together? Bah. His trust was going to be the fool's undoing.
He knew he would make contact, and had a bright blue orb forming between his hands as he came down on top of the Hydreigion. He shot the Aura Sphere at it as he flew through the air away from the dragon pokemon. This one would hit too. He was confidant in his battle skills, but maybe a little overconfidant?
