They trained hard and battled hard, but when the rebellion began to break out, and the pokémon began to actually win, Sootsies decided to save herself before standing by her trainer. Despite acting on the side of the rebellion briefly, she never really believed in their ideals; she liked the idea of freeing pokémon from oppressive terrorist groups like Team Rocket, but committing crimes against portions of humanity who were not a part of the problem--and in many cases were actively fighting the problem with their pokémon partners!--was excessive and horrifying. So she developed a need to be alone, and an anxiety in facing new pokémon whose politics she doesn't know. But overall now she spends her time with a small group of pokeys, whom she can trust to at least be civil about any disagreements they have about the political history of the eradication of trainers. She doesn't really have any feelings about being the dominant species of the planet, but it has gotten kind of ... boring, to be perfectly honest. [/style] | |
