Sun Goes Down [Shadowfall]

Ceto had been wandering around for quite some time and she reached a good sized river just as the sun was beginning to set. She happily dove in, enjoying the feeling of the cool water against her fur. Time passed as she swam and before she knew it, a full moon had risen, lighting up the clear water. As she climbed out of the water and dried her fur, she began to wonder if anyone else was in the area. She would certainly enjoy some company. Her travels had been rather lonely after all. Perhaps she would run into someone soon, someone she could spend at least a little time with.

She walked up to the water and lay with her forepaws draped in the cooling liquid. Before she knew it her red eyes were starting to close and she fell asleep. Her sides rose and fell gently with the rhythms of sleep, her tail would give a now and again twitch as she dreamed. All the while the sun sank lower and the moon rose higher until finally it became night. Shadowfall twitched her nose as she started to stir but her slow stirrings brought her fully-awake as she heard a wet sound. Her ears lifted as well as her head and she looked around, instinctively she made her golden rings glow brighter to illuminate the area. Finally she found what had made the sound a vaporeon --or so it looked like-- that was standing a few feet away. It had been awhile since she'd seen another eeveelution, perhaps she should go say hello and play friendly. The pokemon had probably already seen her glowing rings, anyway. The female yawned, gave a large stretch, and rose to her feet to make her way casually over to the water-type evolution. She stopped when she was about a foot away and she gave a cautionary sniff in her direction. Then, she spoke, "Hello there, nice night, isn't it?" She hadn’t been around another eeveelution since her old mate and if the Umbreon had been a male, Ceto would have been a little overly cautious but since it was female, she would be friendly. Hearing the other speak, Ceto smiled and offered her a small nod as a greeting. Indeed, it is a nice night. I’m Ceto. It’s nice to meet you. "Listen to my words." Behold, I think. Too many times she had encountered rude or aggresive pokemon, needless to say she'd removed herself from their company rather quickly. "I'm Shadowfall. Though some pokemon find it easier to just call me Shadow, suppose you can too. It's nice to meet you as well." The dark eeveelution lowered herself to her haunches slowly. Then she said the next thing that came to her mind, "You live around here, Ceto?" She had never seen the vaporeon in this area but that wasn't saying much since she had a tendency to wander far and wide. The loner could easily have missed Ceto in her wanderings. "My words. She certainly seemed nice, something that Ceto was happy about. She had often met Pokemon who were aggressive and either wanted nothing to do with her, or wanted nothing more than to fight as soon as they saw her. A friendly face such as Shadow’s was greatly appreciated. No, I’ve just been traveling for a while. I might find someplace I like though, maybe even join or start a tribe. I’m not sure yet. For now I’m just on my own. Like always. It didn’t seem very likely that would change anytime soon either, especially since she hadn’t seen too many Pokemon around the area yet. What about you Shadow? Do you live nearby? From what Shadow had said and how she said it, it didn’t seem like she had a permanent home either. The constant company of a large group would probably be too much for her, currently the road was her only friend. "If you do decide to start a tribe I wish you luck." She was sure that getting members and keeping the peace wouldn't be hard though, all it took was a good leader and a level-head. "Me?" The umbreon gave a slight chuckle at the thought of her having a permanent home. "No, I don't live anywhere. I go where the wind takes me. Travelling is my thing, always has and always will be." The umbreon's brow started to give a wrinkle as she thought over what Ceto had said. Starting a tribe? Most likely for water types? Perhaps she could be of a bit of assistance in that area. "You say may want a tribe? I believe the East may hold a little bit of land that you may be able to use, think I passed a lake there once." Shadowfall gave a nonchalant shrug before continuing. "I don't know much about water-types but I do believe that you all ah-like water, yes?" She gave a grin and a wink before lifting a paw to wipe over the tuft of fur on her head. "My words.
