Symbols: The simple swirl marks the Princes and Princesses who are not to be the next King or Queen. A more complex swirl marks the Crown Prince or Princess, but is removed upon coronation as the new King or Queen. The King or Queen from the royal line is marked with a swirling pattern that normally appears on the head, neck, or arm of the Pokemon taking the crown. However, in the case of the current Queen, the mark in on the sphere at her neck. It is believed that the swirling mark will stay on her neck if she decides to evolve. *Marking link on bio* All guards are marked with a swirling design, while the color differs between ranks. The Royal Bodyguards are marked in black, the lead guard with red, and the normal guards in blue. *Other guard ranks may be added as Tribal population grows.* The strategist and advisor share the same design, just in different colors. The Advisor is marked with pale green, while the strategist is marked with pale purple. The normal members of Jakkalsa are marked with a simple swirl in a color representative of their personality.

The Jakkalse Tribe is made primarily of Dragon-type pokemon, however, certain pokemon are accepted into the Tribe if they meet certain requirements and are not part Dragon.
Requirements: -must be able to fly or use multiple dragon-type moves -must be able to prove their use to the Tribe -have some knowledge of the natural ways away from humans, if the Pokemon is an older one
The exception to these requirements are as follows: -Pokemon who are simply seeking shelter from a snowstorm may reside within the Dragon's Den for the duration of the storm, provided they do not attempt to harm any of the Jakkalse. -Young pokemon in their basic stage are allowed to join until they are able to take care of themselves, at which point they must take the test to see if they are Jakkalse material.

The test has three portions:
The first portion of the test is a simple one of survival skills. How well can the prospective member cope on their own? They must go out and bring a certain item back within a preset time limit in order to pass this test. Pass or fail, they move on to the second portion of the test.
The second stage of testing is a battle. An opponent at the same evolutionary stage as the prospective member will battle with said prospective member. If the prospective member fails both this test and the previous one, the pokemon will not be allowed to join. If the pokemon passes this test, the prospective member moves on to the final stage of the test.
The third and final portion of the test is a test of loyalty. The Jakkalse pride themselves in being loyal to the Tribe, as well as the King, Queen, and Crown Prince/Princess. As with the survival test, the prospective member must travel to a specified location and retrieve a specific item within a preset time limit. However, unlike the survival test, the prospective member will be paired with a younger Jakkalse member. The Jakkalse and the prospective member must then work together to solve the puzzles that will bar the way to the item.

The primary diety of the Jakkalse is the first Dragonite, who they believe is the one who marks each of the Jakkalse as her own. The first Dragonite was created by Arceus himself, and is believed to have all of the dragon-type moves that can be learned, and then some. As it has passed on already, the first Dragonite watches the Jakkalse from the stars, able to see a Jakkalse dragon wherever they wander.
The Jakkalse hold special ceremonies when initiating a new member. They call to the First Dragonite, who grants the new member with a swirl of a color that represents the Pokemon's personality. All Jakkalse-born Dragons have this mark upon hatching.

The story of the creation of the Jakkalse Tribe is an interesting one. It involves the greatest of all dragons, the legendary Raquaza, and the First Dragonite.
When Arceus first created the world of Pokemon, the dragons lived all over. There were a few problems with this, however. Some climates were not suitable for the noble dragons. Sometimes, the dragons threw off the balance of a particular location by becoming the strongest Pokemon in the area. Raquaza and Arceus together decided that the dragons needed a place just for them, where they could be safe and raise their young and have only each other to compete with. Arceus tasked Raquaza with rounding up the dragons while Arceus himself went to find a good place for the dragons to stay. He found a cave on the bank of what would come to be called Nezorf Lake, and found some water Pokemon who said there was a cave underwater as well. They told him that there were some tunnels that connected the underwater cave to the one on land. Arceus went to Raquaza and told the Great Dragon about this place. Raquaza agreed that this was an ideal location for the dragons, leading them there himself.
When they found the place, they decided to settle there and elected Raquaza to be their leader. Raquaza was reluctant at first, but then agreed when Arceus himself gave the Great Dragon permission. Raquaza found himself a place on top of the cave, and began to lead the group of dragons that had begun to call themselves the Jakkalse.
Not long after that, Raquaza met the First Dragonite. The First Dragonite happened upon the Jakkalse dragons, who at the time had no real sense of order. They all followed the leader Raquaza, but beyond that they were no better than the Mankey who fought over every little thing. The First Dragonite knew the dragons were more refined than that, and as such began to determine an order to the Tribe. Raquaza left the Jakkalse to the First Dragonite, retiring more often to his home in the sky. The First Dragonite became the first Jakkalse Queen, and began to put the tribe to right.
One night, Raquaza and the First Dragonite were alone together at Raquaza's home in the sky. When the First Dragonite returned, many months later, it was with Raquaza himself and about six child Dratini. What the two did not tell the Tribe was that the Dratini children were in fact their own. It was only because the father was the legend Raquaza that the First Dragonite had layed so many eggs at one time.
Raquaza marked each one of his children with a different symbol. One of them was marked as his heir, the Crown Prince. A second was marked with light green, as the Advisor to the Crown Prince. A third, marked in pale purple, was the best strategist, and became such in the rankings of the Jakkalse. One of the strongest children was marked with a black swirl, while another with the same swirl in red. The final child, the youngest daughter, was marked as his next heiress, in case the Crown Prince died before having his own children.
Raquaza soon vanished again to his home in the sky, and has only been rarely seen when the legends Kyogre of the ocean and Groudon of the earth threaten the peace of the lands, and by doing so threaten his children. Raquaza keeps watch of his children, as well as the new dragons that have joined them, from his home in the sky.
The First Dragonite turned the crown to her eldest child, and passed on peacefully a few years later. A few days after her passing, marks appeared on the other Jakkalse. The swirl of belonging, it is called. Those marked with the swirl of belonging are marked as a Jakkalse forever. When the first Dratini was born to the new King after the old Queen's death, the child, a daughter, was marked with the same symbol that had marked her father as the Crown Prince, showing who would be the next Queen after the current King and Queen retired. It is believed that the First Dragonite carries on Raquaza's duty of marking his children so the Great Dragon can focus on his other duties.
