Blue eyes scanned the grasslands. It was really dry here, something that I liked. The flame on my tail burned brightly, it flickered and tossed as a breeze came by. There was a smile on my face orange face. I stood on a hill that overlooked the dry savannah, it was a pretty sight. the sky was blue, not a cloud in the sky to even make rain a thought in my mind.
I let my mind wander greatly as I looked toward the sky blue horizon. One day I would be able to fly right into the sky. Storms? No problem, I could just fly above it and wait it out. I heard that you can do that. I imagined the beating of my giant wings, my dragon like build, my long neck and strong jaws.
I guess during the part where I imagined myself being a fully evolved Charizard, I most have moved forward and thought that I was flying. Now I was tumbling down a hill and into the grass. My short arms grabbed onto my long tail to try and protect it and make myself more round to make it hurt less. I closed my large eyes and waited to stop.
After what seemed forever I felt like I had stopped. I kept my eyes closed for a while though. When a few minutes passed, I slowly opened my eyes and let the pupils adjust. When they got used to how bright it was, I picked myself off of the ground and did a check of my body. When that was done and I was satisfied that the flame on my tail was still large and bright, I took a survey of where I was.
I had rolled far, judging from where the hill was, the burnt squished part of the grass and then where I was now. There was a lone tree not to far from where I stood, so I decided to walk there and see what I could find.
ooc:// poopy post. Haven't rped Pokemon in almost 3 years. It should get better :/

It's dry here. Very dry. What other word could be used to describe this bland grassland? It was a pretty enough place to appease some, but to him the endless stretch of slightly yellowed grass was little more than boring. At least it's dry. I wouldn't want to have another repeat of what happened in the Sisoa Oasis. At that, he let out a small sigh before glancing around the eternal golden plain surrounding him. There seemed to be little more here than grass interlaced with the occasional tree. I hope at least that there's something more to eat here than grass. I'm not a bloody Miltank. At the thought of food, his stomach let out a soft growl. I know, I know. I'm sure we'll find something soon. His red eyes again flickered across the plain. I guess all I can do now is look.
He carried on in silence for several minutes, the hunger in his stomach impairing even his ability to think. I've got to find something soon. Just then, a small flicker of light from somewhere off to his right caught his eye. What was that? Loki dropped so he was closer to the ground as he walked. His black pelt stood out sharply against the surrounding plants, and he didn't want to be seen if whatever that thing was was unfriendly. Is that a Pokemon? he wondered, drawing in great breaths of air to try and catch the thing's scent. I think it might be.
As he drew closer, the strange flash came into focus. Is that... his thought trailed off as he crouched behind a tuft of grass. I think it is. He stared at the familiar reptilian shape, remembering when he had faced a Pokemon like this many years before. It's a Charmander. He frowned. But what is it doing here?
He watched as the Charmander stood and ducked down further behind the grass as the Pokemon began to look around. Well, I don't think I can eat it, but that doesn't mean this creature can't be of use to me. Perhaps I should go introduce myself. He stood, shaking off the few blades of grass that had fallen on to him as he hid. "Hello," he said in a soft tone, "I see I'm not the only one who decided to take advantage of the fine weather today."

She had been in these golden plains since, when was it; somewhere just around sunrise. It was actually a small time before that as she hadn't seen the sunlight yet but now the golden orb had not only gone passed the horizon but was quite high now. A small smile flickered across her muzzle; she was making some pretty decent time despite having slept most of afternoon of yesterday and half the night away. A little odd of how quickly she could get from place to place even with her odd sleeping hours. But alas, she had her ways.
Even now the ninetales was still wandering around, becoming more and more irritated as little dry grass clung to her paws. Better than mud but still annoying, even painful if one of those measly pieces managed to stab into the softer parts of her paws. She looked around for some shady spot. Somewhere where the grass was not nearly so clingy. Yet her eyes found something different. What was that? A flash? No, its flickering so perhaps a fire maybe? Well it was obvious that she was not the first to notice the presense, one she confirmed to be that of a pokemon due to its scent. Actually it was quite suprising that her nose should pick up the second scent before her eyes did. No it was than suprising, it was purely blindness. How could she miss that black bundle practically creeping toward the light as she was?! Oh how she needed to pay more attention with her eyes.
Sighing to herself she tried to creep closer until she caught another whiff. This time administering in her mind the lizard she was seeing, at least she thought that was a lizard... Yes that was a lizard, a charmander. She hadn't realized she had been stretching herself so far to see the creature until the blacker figure made reminded her eyes that there were indeed two there. Silently Kyuu sat there, trying blend into the gold but just like that other fire-pokemon her coat was not exactly of golden material. Silently she watched while creeping closer to hear. This black pokemon, a houndour? No houndoom, the evolved and much larger hound. This hound began to speak to the little charmander. Ears pricked forward with raw curiousity Kyuu took this as a sign to approach as well. Her ears picked up the dark pokemon's words.
It is quite a nice day isn't it? The silver ninetales said as she came up from behind the dark pokemon. Her eyes were directed upward toward the sky as she spoke, seeming indifferent. She did have to wonder why this houndoom took it upon himself, he by the sound of his voice, to approach this youngster. Least she thought this was a youngster. Most pokemon tend to evolve at certain ages so this one must be no different.

I took a deep breath, letting the hot dry air run down my throat and into my lungs. It was just how I liked it. This place was perfect for me to live in, even if it was in the unconventional way without a tribe. I was fine with being a loner, but I loved having others around me. However, with this place being so dry and hot, I didn't know how many others I would actually find. I did come across another fire type, a Tepig, but that was in another place with thick green grass and a lake. Not my cup of lava.
I heard a noise. Quickly I turned around and let my blue eyes scan the area. However all I saw was the dry grass. What I would give to be taller now. And wings, frankly I would love wings. I couldn't wait for mine to come in when I evolve to my final stage. However I had to be a Charmeleon first, but then I would start getting my horns and I would have claws on my hands. Claws on my hands would be useful, and my arms would be longer.
I heard another noise so I snapped back to attention. A black thing with curled horns was walking toward me. He was a lot bigger than me as well. I made myself taller by standing on my tippy toes, I felt better. However, when he spoke he appeared to be nice. I didn't lower myself though, I wanted to appear somewhat tough. I was about to open my wide mouth when another showed up. This time a very pretty Ninetales. She didn't look normal though, her colour was different. Was she a rare shiny? I gulped, not because I was scared, but because I was astonished. I hadn't seen a shiny Pokemon yet.
Mentally I slapped my face so that I would pay attention. I gave the two a smile and then opened up my mouth. "I like this weather. Nice and hot and dry." I agreed with them both. "I am Pyrogenic, or just Pyro. Who are you two?" I asked the two canine type Pokemon. I couldn't help but still feel small compared to these two. My feet started to hurt so I lowered myself down and stood normally. I cursed at myself for not evolving yet. If I already did, I would be at least comparable to these two in someway.
